The cockroach in the bathroom at night was the last straw. I panicked, and I couldn’t even shut the bathroom door because it didn’t work. I messaged Kit and got no reply, so I packed up and found somewhere else at 10 PM. Kit saw me leaving while I was upset and acted like she didn’t understand what was happening. The place doesn’t have to look nice, and I knew it was a cheap, unattractive place when I booked, but the dirt, lack of hygiene, and cockroaches aren’t justified by the price. There were plates and glasses with something brown on them, though I’d decided to stay until then. Towels and soap cost extra. Before arriving, I also had to confirm everything over WhatsApp and chat with Kit, which felt unnecessary. On arrival day I got so many messages with the address, location, and photos that it was excessive and took up time for no reason. Things got bad enough that I had to leave the first night. This isn’t a place for people.

My trip got 1000% better once I left this place. I complained on Booking and laid out everything we went through. I truly hope I never have the displeasure of dealing with you again. When people rent a place, whatever the price, they expect to feel at home. Coffee, new sheets, or a new mattress, which you’re always bringing up, aren’t what make guests feel comfortable. We needed the freedom to come back from the beach and shower, or leave whenever we wanted. You need to learn how to deal with people and show some humanity first. I have nothing to thank you for. I’m just grateful I got out of there without anything catching fire, given how little commitment you showed to the accommodation.

What a peaceful place. It’s cozy, simple, and feels good to be there. The room is basic, but the beds are clean, the sheets smell nice, and everything is tidy. The owner is a wonderful person and made us feel free to come and go. It barely felt like she was there.

The guesthouse is in a quiet, peaceful spot close to everything, and there’s a garage and room for kids to play. The room was simple but really cozy, with clean beds and sheets. The owner is an amazing person and made us feel comfortable and at ease. I had a great stay and would definitely stay at her guesthouse again when I’m back in Ubatuba. It’s simple and feels safe.

The place is filthy and awful. There’s no minibar in the room, just a rusty shared fridge in the hallway. The parking only fits very small cars, all the curtains are falling down, the bed is hard, and the fan is tiny, so you end up sweating. The owner is really annoying, always telling you how to use the space and stressing that nothing should be damaged. She talks as if the place were well organized, when it’s disgusting.
