The bed was very comfortable, the room was a good size, and the view was beautiful. Still, for almost £200 a night, I expected a lot more. There were maintenance issues in the room and hot tub, and after we reported them, they weren't properly sorted out or followed up on. Staff communication felt inconsistent. We had clearly mentioned in advance that we were vegan, but breakfast had very few options and they were poor quality, with most of the food focused on meat and cheese. On our last day, I was unwell and a receptionist came across as dismissive and lacking empathy. We contacted the hotel privately after the stay to raise our concerns, but got no meaningful follow-up. The setting is lovely and the hotel has potential, but the service and attention to guest concerns didn't justify the price.

The views were fantastic, and we hardly had any mosquitoes there, haha. We spent three nights and had an absolutely wonderful time with my husband. The service was top tier, and as English speakers we felt very comfortable. The hotel has amazing facilities and services, and seems like a good place for families with children too.

The staff were wonderful, friendly, and helpful, and we loved the beautiful property. We had two excellent dinners at the hotel restaurant, and breakfast was delicious and beautifully prepared. From the pool, the view is amazing. The beach is about a 5-minute walk away, though the path is a bit steep, so the hotel provides a handy shuttle. At the beach there are sun loungers and a small hotel bar serving food and drinks. We highly recommend this hotel, especially the staff!

We had a great stay at the Catalina hotel. The rooms face Enseada beach, though the hotel isn't directly in front of it. There are rides to the beach during the day, and you can also spend time at the pool or hot tub. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of homemade breads and cakes, fresh juices, and local fruit.

The staff made our stay especially easy. They were welcoming and accommodating, and most spoke English, which helped a lot since our Portuguese is limited. We loved the postcard-worthy views and delicious food, and the hotel had everything we needed plus a little more. We left with great memories and have already told lots of friends about Catalina Hotel. We'd recommend it to anyone.
