The grounds are beautiful, and the room is nice, with an excellent shower. The people are courteous and very friendly, though they don’t provide services such as bellboys.

The bed linens smelled a little damp, probably because of the humidity, but that was the only issue. We loved how clean everything was, the delicious breakfast and food, and the friendly staff. The SPA is well worth trying: my wife had two massages and I had one. They also offer plenty of activities at the resort, including kayaking for a small extra fee. I highly recommend this place.

The room and bathroom fell well below the hotel’s standard. A dehumidifier would do a lot to reduce the smell.

The setting is the standout: surrounded by nature and close to a beautiful beach, with a nice layout inside the resort. The rooms feel behind the times, though. The air conditioning is manual, the Wi-Fi is unreliable, and the sink has no hot water, so I had to shave in the shower. It also felt too expensive for what was provided. I had dinner there with a friend, and the food wasn’t especially good.
