Really nice place, and the people are the best...

The place didn't look like the photos. It was very dirty, with dirty dogs around and feces. The pool seemed completely neglected, and it wasn't possible to swim. The breakfast wasn't hygienic, and cold foods like fruit and cold cuts weren't stored properly. The fruit was covered in flies, so it was disgusting and impossible to eat. There was also a strong damp smell in the house, which I think came from all the rugs. The room my family and I stayed in had a bathroom, TV, air conditioning, and a fan, but they hadn't even changed the sheets. I believe they'd been there for a long time because they smelled like clothes stored away for ages. The towels had the same smell. We booked through Booking because of all the recommendations, which I now see were probably made by the owners themselves.

The service was amateurish and rude, and the place was poor. I booked the stay for my parents through Booking for February 27-28, 2016, and paid by card. They decided to come down a day early, so I called and was told there was a vacancy. When they arrived around 7 p.m. on February 26, they realized it wasn't a properly set up inn but a house where rooms were rented out. A guy in flip-flops, shorts, and no shirt greeted them as if he'd just gotten up. There were dogs loose in the yard. Rudely and awkwardly, he said they could only stay if they paid the other half immediately, before even showing them the rooms. My parents already felt uncomfortable there, so they turned around and went to another inn, where they were welcomed. As I write this, they're in Ubatuba. That was my unfortunate experience with this “inn.”
