Pousada Chalés de Netuno

We went a long time ago, and it was the worst experience possible. The scenery is beautiful, but the hotel owner was disrespectful and rude, and was constantly worked up. We wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The sea views are lovely, and the Studio is roomy and cozy. But the owner, Marcelo, has no manners and is ignorant. There’s no breakfast, bar, or restaurant at the pousada, and the beach access is closed, so you have to drive even though it’s just above the beach. When they tidy the room, they only make the bed and don’t change the sheets. The barbecue area is out of service, and so is the pool ladder, meaning you have to walk around outside after swimming to get to the sun. We paid 380,00 per night, which was far too much for the condition of the place, where there’s basically nothing. The worst part was definitely the owner’s rudeness. He was drunk and spoke harshly to us on two occasions. I don’t recommend it.

The rooms are simple, but clean and cozy, and the staff are attentive. Breakfast is basic but served generously, and the pool is excellent. The views are beautiful too. It’s well located near Praia Vermelha do Centro and Tenório, which is better for swimming. A path over the hill gets you quickly to the Itagua waterfront, where there’s an aquarium and lots of restaurants for all tastes. I recommend it!

A wonderful place for anyone who likes being close to nature. I recommend the chalet if you want some peace, a good rest, a nice beach, and a breathtaking sunrise. The pousada is cozy and really nice, and Mr. Marcelo and Letícia made us feel welcome.
