The room is pretty basic, but the staff are very friendly and breakfast is excellent. It’s well located near the Itamambuca river. You can cross with a local boat run by fishermen, or walk across when the water is low. A nice place to stay in Itamambuca for a short visit.

I canceled right there at the entrance. It was infuriating, and I do not recommend this place. The inn wants to charge an arm and a leg, while check-in is only at noon and you have to leave by 10 in the morning. I was still getting things ready for my cousin to rent it for the weekend, and I’m glad that didn’t happen. After reading the comments, I’m grateful my daughter wanted to leave. There’s no infrastructure. The road is so bad you’d need to bring a spare exhaust and shock absorbers. How can it be 500 meters from the beach? To go on foot, you have to leave the car and cross the river. Some people may like that, but it doesn’t work with kids. Entering through the gated community costs 20 reais for blue zone parking. I don’t understand why Ubatuba charges so much when nothing changes. It’s always the same problems. What does the mayor do with all that money? Why don’t they fix or pave these roads?

We didn’t have much luck with our room. The TV remote didn’t work, and the minibar was so rusty I was afraid someone could get shocked. The bathroom looked nothing like the photo, and the room smelled strongly of mold. The road to the hotel is awful, and the room’s sound insulation is poor too.

The only thing I’d flag is the plumbing. The water from the taps and shower really does come out a little yellow. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay. We spent five days at the inn and loved it. Our Master room was simple but very clean and tidy, with a double bed, two single beds, a minibar, a fan, and air conditioning, all working properly. The location works well if you have a car. We easily visited several northern beaches, so I recommend driving. Breakfast was simple, tasty, and generous, and clearly made with care. Gustavo, the owner, was very kind and welcoming when we arrived close to midnight. The women in the kitchen were lovely too, friendly and down to earth. I really felt at home. I was a bit wary at first after reading some comments, but everyone sees things differently. It’s peaceful, safe, and welcoming. I’d happily return. Thanks for such a warm welcome 💛
