We were warmly welcomed by the owner, Ieda, and got to watch snow falling outside the window while we stayed warm indoors by the wood stove. The house is simple but cozy, set among the mountains, and everything was clean and organized. The sheets were fresh, fragrant, and warm, and the kitchen was well equipped. It’s a great place for peace and quiet. There’s no cell signal, but the house has Wi-Fi.

The house is between the municipalities of Urubici and Bom Jardim da Serra. The owner was attentive, and it’s a cozy spot for a quiet weekend in the countryside. You can roast pinhão on the wood stove and head up Serra do Rio do Rastro. A good option.
