The service was first-rate, and the whole place feels like a museum, with superb furniture and decor. I visited during low season, so it was quiet. After two years living in Rio, this was my best hospitality experience in Brazil. The place is AMAZING.

There’s good music in the evenings and the food is excellent. The hotel sits in a special historic spot, with lots of interesting things to do nearby.
