Casa Joaquim

I stayed one night and really didn't like the place. The furniture seemed old, and it felt dirty and disgusting. Breakfast was very disappointing, and the coffee was awful. The one good thing was how polite Mr. Joaquim was.

Joaquim was very attentive and made us feel at ease. The house was comfortable and cozy, and my daughter and I loved it. The weather didn't cooperate for a swim in the pool, but we still had peaceful days there.

I booked on December 9, 2019, for December 30 through January 2 and paid R$ 300. Nothing was explained about the booking conditions, and there was no contract saying what would happen if I had to cancel. I had to cancel on December 29 because I could no longer make the trip. We then agreed that we could use the amount toward a stay on another date. When we got in touch on January 21, though, we were told the reservation money would not be refunded, not even 50%. The room had been rented out again, so there was no loss, but they still refused to return half. The explanation was that they had lost a day, so they would refund none of the booking payment.

A comfortable place with friendly service, and close to everything.
