Pousada Ancora

The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well organized, so it was easy to get some proper rest. We were also treated very well from the moment we arrived. The service was attentive and polite, and everyone was ready to help. My stay at Pousada Âncora was simply excellent.

It was a peaceful, quiet spot in a good location, near the beach and grocery stores. The place felt cozy, and breakfast was thoughtfully prepared with care. Our hosts were kind and hospitable, and gave us plenty of attention.

Horrible!!!! The mattress had craters, there was no air conditioning or TV, and the shower stall was clogged. The bathroom was like a little cubicle inside the room. No butter at breakfast, awful quality towels and sheets, and they don't provide a face towel. Totally unhygienic. That place is no inn!

The owners were wonderful, and this is a cozy, peaceful place near the beach if you want to get away from the crowds. The inn has an old-fashioned style and is decorated with recycled materials. I got the impression the owners were Argentine. It's a long way from the center, though, and like several streets around there, the road needs paving. One tip: bring insect repellent. It's very hot and there's some airflow, but the mosquitoes really go after you. I went two nights without sleeping, haha. Luckily I was there on vacation and could rest afterward. If I'd had to work, I would've been done for.
