Regi House Hostel

Great.

There were three of us, but the room had only one outlet for a charger. There was no bath towel, soap, or blanket. It's summer, sure, but we only had a few very thin, old sheets. The fan was covered in dust, and when we turned it on, chunks of dust fell out. Then we spotted a spider on the wall. There was no minibar. The person in charge said we could use the shared kitchen, but two men were there talking, washing clothes and hanging them up until after 1 a.m., so we had zero privacy. The shower wouldn't heat the water. It was a really rough night, and I don't recommend it.

We needed somewhere to stay at the last minute and told the attendant we were right next door at the airport, asking if we could be helped inside the pousada. She insisted we had to make a deposit first. I’ve never encountered that anywhere I’ve traveled. They didn’t seem set up to deal with guests or tourism at all, and left us out on the street. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially if you need a place at short notice. Update: Someone responsible for the pousada later sent me a private message that I found intimidating, asking me to remove this review. I reported the company’s conduct. I’m stating here that I no longer authorize any contact through WhatsApp, SMS, or any messaging app.

The room was really nice and neat, and both the bathroom and kitchen were clean and organized. I stayed here with my family and would definitely recommend the place.
