Sleep Inn Vitória Praia do Canto

The staff were friendly and the location was good, but the property seems past its best. We had to change rooms because the bedside lamp was broken and the air conditioner was missing its airflow flaps. In the next room, the air conditioner still didn’t work perfectly, and apparently none of the rooms had one in perfect working order. Our king size bed had a single sized blanket with a hole in it. They replaced it promptly with a proper one, but these issues gave the impression that upkeep is being overlooked.

The hotel is clean and organized, with excellent breakfast, 24 hour room service, and a parking option for a small fee. The staff weren’t as friendly as I’d hoped, and the cutlery was small. Still, I found it a good deal for the price.

For the price, this is a really good budget hotel, as long as you don’t expect perfection. Breakfast is included and just okay. The bathroom was fine, though the seat was a little out of place, and the shower gel was awful, so bring your own soap. My main complaint was at the restaurant: I asked them to fill my thermos with hot water and waited 40 minutes. I had to ask three times, and they seemed uninterested in helping. I also didn’t like being charged for parking, since that wasn’t shown clearly, if at all, in my Booking.con reservation.

Handy for a business trip, especially if you need to leave before sunrise. They have breakfast available very early, before 5AM.
