Hideaways Exuma

The staff at Hideaways made us feel welcome and were helpful throughout our weeklong stay in late March. Our villa was clean and comfortable, and the resort's private beach is somewhat sheltered. Even with the very strong winds we had, the water was still swimmable. The shuttle to and from Georgetown was a great perk, and we used it often. We were a family of four and didn't rent a car. Looking back, I wish we had, since driving would have let us explore all of Exuma and reach some remote, beautiful beaches that were hard to get to otherwise. That's no reflection on Hideaways. Splash restaurant serves solid sustenance, and there's another restaurant one hotel away. For groceries, you'll need to take the shuttle or drive.

We spent five days at Hideaways and had a fantastic time. The free shuttle into town was a big help since we didn't have a car, and the location worked out perfectly. Everyone at the resort was friendly, helpful and genuinely caring. Special thanks to Turtle at the front desk.

The staff were so kind, and the room was clean, well stocked and comfortable, with nice beds. We had an ocean-view cottage and enjoyed sitting on the patio or in the chairs along the breaker wall. Hideaways is centrally located on the island and made a good base for getting around. We could walk to Jolly Hall Beach, Splash, Augusta Bay and Frankie Bananas. With care, or in daylight, you could also walk to the fish fry area. The pool area was nice, too. We had a great stay and would definitely come back.

The beaches are beautiful, and the stunning Jolly Hall Beach is only a short walk away. The cabins were comfortable, and the friendly, warm staff made our stay even better. Splash Bar had great food and well-made cocktails in a relaxed setting. A lovely spot for a relaxing getaway.
