I had a great stay at Swain's Cay Lodge. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the food is excellent. You don’t have to be interested in fishing to enjoy it, it’s a wonderful place to relax.

Our family of nine, ranging in age from 6 to 70, had a lovely stay at this well-run, family-friendly Bahamian fishing lodge. There were options for the people who wanted to fly fish and for those who didn’t. The local independent fishing guides were knowledgeable. We took a boat tour through the mangrove channels and saw sea turtles, lemon sharks, and bumpy starfish. The beach is right there for wading, walks, snorkeling, kayaking, and looking for shells. We could also explore Mangrove Island easily on foot or by bike. The rooms were clean, with Wi-Fi and no TVs. Meals were tasty and had Bahamian flavors, including fish, lobster, ribs, and plantains. It’s a wonderful place to relax in a remarkably scenic location.
