Red Knot Manor

The upstairs suite has its own kitchenette, mini fridge, sink and tea station, and we made good use of the coffee bar each morning. We spent two weeks at Red Knot Manor to start the new year, and found the place very clean and inviting. The hosts met us at the airport, carried our bags to our rooms and gave us a great introduction to Great Inagua Island. They invited us to look for the island’s secret. After a joyful, adventurous stay, we decided that the best kept secret on Great Inagua Island is Red Knot Manor.

The owners were friendly and made the place feel familiar, and they tried to help us with every plan we wanted to carry out, including a visit to the National Park for birdwatching. These are comfortable, luxurious apartments on a remote island, in the quiet outskirts of Matthew Town. The house has everything you need, including a washing machine and dryer. It is definitely a great place to stay, though rather costly. We still felt it was worth the price.

We were impressed by the decor and how clean and affordable the place was. My sister and I stayed at Red Knot in October, and it’s not far from the airport. The owners were accommodating and provided excellent customer service. We had a great experience at the manor and highly recommend Red Knot.

The chef is on-site all the time, and the food is delicious. Room rates are very reasonable, too. Redknot Manor is even more beautiful than the pictures suggest, and it’s an extremely clean place with a welcoming atmosphere. The owners are wonderful and go above and beyond to help their guests. If you’re looking for the best place to stay in Great Inagua, this is it!
