2 Bed Ocean View Condo at ONE Cable Beach

Don't book here, it feels like a scam. I booked through Expedia, and a few days before our trip the property canceled, saying they had renovations. But when I checked other sites, they were selling the rooms we'd booked at a higher price.

Our family felt extremely unsafe here. The pool was dirty and moldy, with guests eating and drinking in it while attendants partied with them. Security guards slept at night, and anyone seemed able to get into the facility. There were several sketchy characters walking around the building. There are better options down the road.

The staff were so friendly, and we felt welcome from the start. The condo had everything we needed except toiletries and food, which we picked up at a nearby store. We could cook or eat at nearby restaurants. The locals were helpful when we asked about places, and the jitney was an easy way to get around. It's $1.25, the bus stops wherever you need, and the drivers are friendly. The condo is well placed for both sides of the island, and we had parking options for our rental car. We loved the private beach and gorgeous pool, though it was hard to pull ourselves away from the property. The lounge chairs were so relaxing, with all those shades of blue across the ocean. At 7pm each night, manta rays passed through the shallow water, and the photos were amazing. We also watched sunsets and cruise ships go by while barbecuing and eating under the gazebo. The gym had everything you could think of. Our ground-floor unit didn't have an ocean view, but it was just 20 steps to the spectacular infinity pool and beach view. You could see it from the front door or through the living room and master bedroom sliding doors. The place was peaceful at night, the bed was very comfortable, and the appliances were top of the line. It felt modern but still homey. There was a washer and dryer, and beach towels were provided, so we kept everything clean without hanging wet clothes out to dry. The security guards were friendly and helpful, and we felt safe the whole time. We did make it to some other beaches, including Love, Jaws, and Nirvana, but our favorite was the private beach right in front of One Cable Beach. We also enjoyed the Poop Deck and Blue Sail for outdoor beachfront dining, both close by, and make sure to see the batcaves too. A taxi driver who was a Baptist Pastor invited us to church. We went, then had lunch with locals and learned a lot about Bahamian history. We also recommend the lunch tour to Rose Island. We can't wait to come back!

We were glad we visited these condos. They're beautifully built, with a lovely pool, and the place felt safe. Really impressive.
