The Island Garden Hotel

The hotel exterior is cute and looked well maintained, and we saw it being cleaned daily. The rooms were another story. Over our nine-night stay, ours was never properly cleaned. We asked the first morning when housekeeping would come, and the staff member looked confused. Someone eventually came to make the bed and leave towels, but no one returned for the rest of our stay, despite the hotel saying cleaning is available on request. We asked for basic things and staff seemed baffled, so we gave up and handled things ourselves. There was a cockroach in the room on the first night. We had no hangers, kitchen utensils, plates, or drinking water to refill our bottles, so we had to buy water. Hot water was frustratingly unreliable: most of the time there wasn't any, and when there was, it lasted at most 30 seconds. Although staff were generally kind, it's hard to understand why these basics weren't provided. By the end, the room was disgusting. We never felt comfortable enough to relax in it or even enjoy the pool, and the stay significantly affected our trip. We wouldn't recommend this hotel, especially for a long stay. Had we known what it would be like, we would never have booked it.

The kids loved the pool, and the rooms were clean, simple, and fuss-free. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we had a comfortable, affordable stay. It's right by Baha Mar and even Wendy’s is within walking distance. For anyone coming in from the Out Islands, the airport is close, which makes it an easy stopover. We'll definitely return.

We had a really enjoyable weekend getaway with the kids. It was quiet and affordable, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful all the way from check-in to checkout. The kids loved the pool, and we spent most of the afternoon there relaxing. We're definitely planning to come back soon.

Dirty, old, and gross. This place is a horribly run-down dump, and I wouldn't stay here. There was no water for a whole day, and things are literally falling apart, from shower faucets to floor tiles. The area feels sketchy and isn't walkable to anything good. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Stay far away.
