El Greco

The woman in the hotel tuck shop was the one bright spot. She was patient and kind, helped me find pain pills and vitamins, and showed real care. My stay at El Greco L was otherwise stressful and disappointing. On the first day, the housekeeper assigned to my room came to the door and asked if I wanted it cleaned, saying she had to go and mine was the last room. Her tone made it sound like my room was a burden. The next day, another housekeeper asked me by the pool which room I was in. I said Room 10, but she asked several more times. I counted to 10 on my fingers to clarify, and she snapped that she wasn't my mommy or mother and called me stupid. I was shocked and upset. I reported it at the front desk, but the staff seemed to side with her and brushed off my complaint. I was already sick with a fever and just wanted a peaceful stay. Guests deserve basic respect. Management needs to look at how staff treat people, because that one kind employee shouldn't be the exception.

The balcony at El Greco has a great view of Junkanoo beach, and the location is superb. My husband and I stayed there after getting married in the Bahamas, and we had the time of our lives. The staff were so thoughtful and kind, going above and beyond for us. The rooms were very clean, too. If you want an island vibe, great service, and a superb location, stay at El Greco. We can't say enough good things about it. Thank you so much to El Greco!

The location was prime, and the staff were warm and very helpful. My room was large and clean, opening onto a spacious shared balcony facing the water and nightlife. It's a lovely little old hotel, dated, and the shower pressure wasn't great, but I still found it delightful. I'd recommend it if you don't need anything fancy, and I'd definitely stay again.

For our 26th wedding anniversary, we felt like VIPs from the in-person booking right through to getting to our room. They decorated the bed beautifully and left complimentary wine for the occasion. They made us feel so at home and special ❤️.
