Golden Palms B & B

The peaceful setting and lush gardens at Golden Palm B&B made it feel like a relaxing island getaway. The new management made a difference from the moment we arrived, greeting us with warm Bahamian hospitality. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with tasteful decor and local touches. Breakfast was homemade and delicious, and the hosts helped with recommendations, airport transportation, and wherever else we needed to go. What stayed with me most was how genuinely kind and caring the staff were. They treated us like family, whether we wanted to explore or just unplug and rest. The property is beautifully maintained, and we can't wait to come back!

I spent a restful weekend at Golden Palms in Nassau, and I'm already thinking about bringing my whole family next time. It was peaceful, clean, recently updated, and away from the crowds and chaos of typical resorts. The common areas and my room had modern touches but still felt cozy and welcoming. Everything was spotless, and the grounds felt like a private garden. I loved hearing birds in the morning and reading under the shade of the trees. Breakfast was cooked to order each morning and came without a long wait, which made for relaxed, unhurried days. I drove to nearby Caves Beach in the mornings, parked, found some shade, and enjoyed the calm. The water was crystal clear and still, full of life. I even spotted a starfish while swimming. With its soft, silky sand and peaceful feel, the beach seemed like my own little slice of paradise. Golden Palms was a lovely complement to the experience. I'd happily return with my adult kids and grandkids to share it.

Being close to the airport was nice, but the place itself was terrible. The room was small and dirty. A water pump of some sort outside my window ran all night, sounding like someone vacuuming a car. Early in the morning, someone started a vehicle, with the engine only six feet from where I was sleeping. Not a great way to wake up. The pool and yard were neglected, and breakfast was terrible.

The second night, I was moved to another room and the night went fine, but there was no running water at all when I tried to shower and brush my teeth in the morning. The first night, I woke at 2 am to a roof leak dripping onto my face. I tried calling the person on shift, but no one came to help, so I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night. Other guests had a party that same night, and I couldn't get to bed until 11 am for my 6 am flight. I couldn't rest properly either night.
