Studio 7 - Oceanfront Apartment

Do not book here. They waited until we were already in the air to say there was no water, which was a lie, then sent us to a dump with cockroaches and rats. This was a scam. A tent on the beach would've been better.

There wasn't even a front desk or anyone around to speak with, and nothing about the place offered an ocean view. The back door and window were sealed behind security shutters that wouldn't open, and there was no pool or beach access. The pillows were soft, which is the only reason I'm giving it one star. Terrible place, stay away.

The grounds had a calm, peaceful feel, and it was easy to get a bus or reach the nearby stores. I felt safe there. Studio 7 at [Caprice] was a charming, cozy cottage, thoughtfully decorated and full of natural light from the doorway windows. The bed was really comfortable, and the kitchenette had everything listed in the studio description. It made for a lovely, quiet retreat from everyday life, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a solo escape.

Bianca was a sweet, knowledgeable host and quick to respond. The gated community has a private beach, and with the security booth right outside our door, I felt very safe. The studio is small and cute, close to a shopping center with a market, hair supply store, and liquor store. It isn't anything grand, but it had what I needed, and any problems I raised were handled promptly. The room smelled strongly of bleach, so they clearly took sanitizing seriously. I didn't like the shower pressure, and there wasn't a soap holder, but maintenance fixed the pressure right away. It's not a five-star hotel, though the price reflects what you get.
