Patricia made our visit to Regatta Buffet feel special, even going out of her way for my birthday. She welcomed my daughter and me warmly, helped us decide where to eat when we were unsure, and gave us good suggestions for the food and other parts of the property. Her attentive, professional service made us feel like VIPs, and it was what turned the visit into a 10/10. The food was very good too, and the buffet was a much better value than we expected. Patricia clearly takes pride in making guests feel cared for. I’d recommend dining here and hope you get served by her.

The room keys failed for the first 48hrs, even after I made 3 trips to the front desk for new ones. Engineering eventually had to explain to the desk what they were doing wrong when programming them. Each time we tried to get in during those first 2 days, we had to wait in the hallway for someone from engineering to let us in. It got annoying fast. The kids club looked beautiful, but our experience there was unacceptable. All 5 children in our group said a staff member got in my son’s face and spoke to him aggressively and nastily. They also said two young sisters were crying while staff laughed at them. Some comments to our kids might be cultural differences, which I can accept, but that behavior isn’t okay. We’ve used kids clubs elsewhere without anything like this. Be cautious, especially if your young children can’t tell you what happened. There weren’t enough beach or pool chairs for everyone, and there were no beach umbrellas during our stay because staff said it was “too windy”. It wasn’t windy at all. The beach was just okay, nowhere near as beautiful as other island beaches, and restaurant space wasn’t enough for all the guests. A few staff were kind and warm, but mostly we felt like an annoyance just for being there. It felt like a crowded, loud cruise ship with too little food and too few amenities. Save your money and vacation somewhere else.

We stayed in room 1210 from 6/18-24, but it got missed when they cleaned. Near midnight, I had to go to the front desk for clean towels and coffee for the next day. The resort is beautiful, just don’t count on your room being cleaned.

There’s a lot of walking around this big property, and the elevators get crowded at peak times, so expect to wait. Finding a lounge chair at the beach or pools can also be tough on busy days, since people claim beach chairs early in the morning. Dinner takes planning too. Most or all restaurants were booked by the time we arrived, and walk-ins were nearly impossible, so book well before your stay. Convenient food places mostly shut at 5pm, leaving the restaurants as the other option. Without reservations we had to improvise with room service, delivery apps, and going offsite. I wish there were quick food options after 5pm. The resort and location are beautiful, with a nice range of pools, a well-kept beach, and a waterpark that rivals many standalone parks. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were good quality, though pricey, as expected in the Bahamas. We enjoyed the stay, but wouldn’t return. It felt more like a Vegas mega-resort by the beach than the relaxing beach holiday we wanted.
