The evening snacks, especially the french fries and veg pakoras, were very good, and the staff were warm and helpful. Service was fine, and the main course was only okay. We stayed one night before going to Bagdogra. It was a very average hotel, and the rooms need a complete overhaul. Our room was in block B, which had no lift.

The staff’s behavior ruined the stay for us. Shring in particular shouted at us when we asked about breakfast, and even ordinary interactions felt rude, arrogant, and stressful. We travel with respect for local people and culture, and expect basic courtesy in return. A hotel isn’t judged just by its rooms or location; guests need to feel welcome and respected, and we didn’t. After paying to stay here, nobody should have to deal with that kind of treatment. Management needs to take this seriously and work on staff training, patience, and respectful communication. I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but this was one of my worst hotel experiences and completely spoiled our impression of the place. Definitely not recommended if you expect hospitality and decent behavior.

The place is peaceful, with plenty of parking, a lift, wheelchair access, and a clean, well-kept swimming pool. The location is nice, though away from the centre. Our rooms and beds were comfortable, and the crisp, spotless linen smelled fresh. The staff were very helpful, the menu was decent, and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. A lovely resort, recommended.

The junior staff were helpful, but the managers and senior staff were rude to guests, and the food was below average. I booked through an agent for both the onward and return parts of my Bhutan trip. Although Google and other ratings showed four stars, the hotel didn’t live up to that. On the first visit they moved us to a nearby hotel belonging to the owner’s sister, where there were lots of insects. When we stayed at this hotel on the return visit, the rooms felt like an ordinary 2- or 3-star property, nowhere near a 4-star one. I stayed the nights of 16th June and 22 June.
