Dorji Elements Boutique Hotel

My mother and I had a pleasant stay at Dorji Elements. It’s in the heart of Thimphu, close to all the major attractions. Our spacious, well-managed room had all the amenities we needed. The staff welcomed us with warm smiles and did their best to help with whatever we needed, making sure we were comfortable. The women on staff were hardworking, confident, and very capable. I think others who choose Dorji Elements will have a similarly enjoyable, hassle-free visit.

We stayed for two nights and didn’t have a very good experience. There wasn’t a chair in the room, so the bed was the only place to sit. We also didn’t have a bucket. I called reception in the morning and evening, but no one answered. When I finally asked in person, they said they’d bring one to the room, but it never arrived during our stay. We didn’t like the food much, so I asked for bread at breakfast. They said bread wasn’t available because the shop was closed.

The location is on the main road, close to both the craft market and Hong Kong market. The accommodation was a good experience. The suite rooms have appealing views, while the deluxe rooms are a satisfactory alternative.

The staff were courteous, and the food was good. My room was clean and well maintained, and the bathroom was spacious with a nice bathtub.
