Lorato Lodge and Camping

We stayed at Lorato Campsite after driving into Botswana from Namibia, and had a lovely time. Moffat welcomed us warmly, explained how everything worked, and made us feel at home. The spacious, peaceful site has water, WiFi, a nice ablutions block, and room for a fire and braai. We left our chairs out in the rain by mistake, and a kind staff member brought over some big camp chairs for us to use. Owner Baboloki checked that we had what we needed and gave us advice about our plans for Chobe. We enjoyed talking with him about the area, its people, and the animals. The location works really well for entering Chobe through Ngoma gate. In the morning, most people come in from Kasane, so the park feels like it's yours. There's a pub with a pool table in the local village, where we tried some local beers. We'd happily come back.
