Digger Inn

For a one-night stop at the end of a six-week holiday, our room had everything we needed. The small fridge and air conditioning were much appreciated, and the meals were good. The restaurant is upstairs in the shopping centre, while the breakfast room is on the ground floor, accessed from outside in the centre. Finding the property was a struggle since the hotel is inside a shopping centre, and more signs would help. The receptionist was very friendly. Our room was at the top of the stairs above the car park, so people noise was to be expected. Now that we know where it is, we'd book again.

The outside made me hesitate, but inside was lovely, with clean rooms, friendly staff and two restaurants. The downside was locals partying VERY loudly until after 5am 😳😳

Service was excellent. For me, it's the best place to stay in Francistown.

We'd booked two rooms, but at first the front desk couldn't find our reservation. That was eventually sorted out. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though there were no towels when we arrived. Breakfast tasted good, but even though we ordered drinks before the food, we had to chase them and they only came after we'd finished eating. We'd requested a late checkout and asked to keep our luggage in one room. After moving everything there, we went downstairs and were asked to move it to the other room because someone was checking in. It was inconvenient, but we did it and went about our day. When we returned before the scheduled checkout time, all our belongings were gone. The front desk didn't know where they were. Housekeeping had moved everything back to the original room. When we asked for the manager and raised our concerns, the apology seemed less than interested. His attitude changed only after we said our review would reflect the stay. The internet was also subpar. The lodge itself was nice and affordable, but the staff have some way to go.
