Peermont Metcourt Hotel

I stayed one night while travelling back from Victoria Falls. The rooms were mouldy and stank. It was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, and such a downgrade from Digger Inn, where we stayed on the way to Vic Falls.

The hotel is basic, but comfortable, and the staff are nice. The room door locked, though it wasn't snug against the frame, which left me wondering if someone could force it. The inside security catch was broken too. We had a lot of noise from the road out front. During our stay, music blared and people shouted until about 0400. Breakfast costs quite a bit and is in an adjacent facility in the same building, accessed from the street. The breakfast room was very cold.

Rooms are spacious, clean, and well kept, and the location is right in town. There's a casino if that's your thing. I gave it three stars because the housekeeper didn't refill the toiletries or towels. We checked in at night and had to struggle a bit.

The location is great, close to Spur restaurant and the Galo mall, and the rooms are nice and spacious. Service is great too. The TV service lets it down, with limited channels, especially sports. Even smaller guest houses offer better TV.
