Protea Masa Square is still my top base for business in Gaborone. You’re right in Masa Square, with News Cafe and Caravela just steps away. The rooftop pool and bar are world-class for sundowners, and the breakfast buffet has a genuinely impressive international selection. Reception staff are especially attentive. Rooms feel modern, and the memory foam beds are very comfortable, although a standard room can feel cramped with lots of luggage. There’s refurbishment underway in 2026, so ask for a recently updated room for the best experience. A solid 4/5 stars.

A friendly welcome made check-in easy at Protea Hotel Gaborone. My cozy room had a comfortable bed, a nice view, and thoughtful extras like complimentary tea and coffee. Its convenient location also made it easy to explore nearby attractions. I enjoyed my stay.

Wow, this hotel is amazing and luxurious, with good service too. I especially love how neat the rooms are, and they’re great for us creators who make videos. The surroundings work well for pictures and romantic dinner dates. 🫶
