Staybridge Golfview Suites

The meal was fantastic, and our waitress Kelly helped make the whole visit great. Proud, the chef, even came over himself to ask how we liked the food. Such a wonderful hidden gem. I’d recommend it and plan to come back.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The music was so loud and unbearable that I couldn’t sleep, even though the hotel itself is nice, with a spacious room and a very clean bathroom. I was put in Room 1, and someone knocked every 15 minutes to borrow the room key because it was a master key. They needed it after a guest lost hers and when they couldn’t find the laundry keys. The receptionist, Oratile, was unfriendly and seemed like she didn’t want to be there. Room service food was always cold until Phomolo came along. She was kind and friendly.

This is about Arirang Restaurant, not the hotel. We went for its Valentine’s Day special because I wanted to try the Korean food. It was okay, but I hadn’t expected a buffet, and the flyer gave no indication that’s what it would be. We ran into basic problems all evening. They had no sparkling water, and when I ordered a mojito, they were out of mint. Fruit flies were everywhere, and one got into my beer. The card machine wouldn’t work when it was time to pay. There was no soap in the men’s bathroom, and my wife found no toilet paper in the ladies’ room. It was a disaster of a night despite the food being okay. How do you invite people for a special Valentine’s menu without restocking drinks, ingredients, soap, and toilet paper? They need good management. There were some positives: the tables were nicely decorated, and Boity, our waitress, was very nice and efficient. I’m willing to give it another shot, so we’ll see. Dinner for two with one drink each was P505, which is pretty steep.

My husband was very disappointed, especially since this was his birthday. The menu was limited, the food was mediocre when it finally came after almost two hours, and the staff barely paid attention. We kept having to go downstairs to ask for things, and they forgot part of our order. It was very, very slow.
