Breakfast was excellent, and the owner gave us helpful travel advice. There's also a nice 4km tar road behind the lodge for anyone who likes running. We arrived without a booking, but the welcoming staff quickly gave us a spotless suite with a spacious bathroom. The pool was very clean and fun, though the chlorine smell was a bit strong. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Symponia.

The owners' hotel experience shows in the design, construction, and ongoing upkeep, especially compared with other places in Botswana, such as Maun. The facilities are on par with top US, European, and UK properties, while the service has that superior African warmth. It's a great setup for solo travelers, couples, or small groups, as other reviewers have said. The Starlink connection also gives you superfast WiFi.

The restaurant and main building are beautiful, and the owner stopped by, which was a nice touch. The ablutions are lovely too, but a long walk from our campsite. It wasn't too bad for a stopover, although the road traffic is so close to the campsite and heavy that I hardly slept.

Management made the rounds of the campsites to check that everyone was comfortable and happy. The staff were helpful and friendly, the food was great, and the beer was cold. The bathrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen at a campsite, and this was the cleanest campsite in all Botswana.

We stopped here for one night on our way back to Namibia, and it was such a lovely place to break the journey. The campsite is beautiful, the bathrooms are clean, and both the staff and owners are very friendly. Thanks! Beatrice and Martin
