Chobe River Cottages

We really liked the riverside deck, and the garden was such a peaceful spot. The cottages are near everything you might need, though you hardly notice you’re staying in town. Our room was clean and up to standard, and having a stoep was a nice extra.

We only booked one night, and wished we’d stayed longer. There’s a pool and a private deck over the Chobe river, and shops, restaurants, and boating stations are all within walking distance. The modern, clean cottage had the cutlery and other basics for making meals, plus a braai. A good place to take in the feel of the area.

The river viewing deck and outdoor dining patio were both lovely, and I enjoyed the pool too. The rooms were clean and had plenty of amenities. The women at the front desk were especially helpful, helping me figure out what to do each day. I’d happily stay here again while in Kasane.

The rooms were clean and lovely, and the staff were friendly. I found the town a bit isolating, though, with nowhere else to visit. Self-catering was hard because the SPAR down the road had no fresh produce of edible quality. The one restaurant buys from SPAR, so the food situation was the same there.
