Comfort-House

It's cheaper and can be a decent place if you're on your own. There's somewhere nearby to get a new phone, and you can have a hot shower. But it's crowded and not comfortable, so I wouldn't choose it for a family stay. Be patient.

We got a huge room, about 100 square meters, with a massive bed, beautiful furnishings that felt almost palatial, and a whirlpool bath. For the same money, we'd rented a much more modest hotel room in Minsk. The hosts were friendly, and breakfast was included. It was homemade, delicious, and so filling it was almost lunch: cottage cheese, yogurt, noodles with homemade sausages, cheese, and brewed coffee. Renting this palace with breakfast was very economical. The place is quiet and not far from the city center, with a large store and pizzeria nearby. Having a car makes it especially convenient.

The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are quite decent, and the hosts are welcoming. The owner can be a bit much, though, telling long stories about the hotel's amenities. There's a nice bath complex with a fairly large pool, plus a mini gym with one machine. It's clean and cozy, and they'll make coffee or tea for free if you ask. Breakfast is delicious and almost a full meal. Still, the mini-hotel comes with drawbacks. If you return from a walk on a weekend afternoon, the place may be locked and you'll have to call the manager to let you into your room. You have to keep reminding them to take out the trash and bring the bottle of water you requested. At check-in they give you hotel slippers and ask you to wear those throughout the hotel. We didn't have a car, but the parking lot looked tiny, maybe two spaces at most. You can park right in front, supposedly in a quiet area, but who knows. It's on the outskirts of Minsk, with a hypermarket, cafe, and pizzeria at the gas station nearby, and not much else. Without a car, the nearest entertainment is 6 km away; take bus number 18 to the Ploshchad Pobedy stop. Mixed feelings, but I'd still give it a four.

The grounds are beautifully kept, like a Garden of Eden, and everything is spotless. Breakfast is included, hearty and delicious. The food at this excellent private hotel felt home cooked, unlike the greasy cafes around town.
