DoubleTree By Hilton Minsk Hotel

The restaurant on the 21st floor was a letdown. We’d booked a window table, but when we arrived they said there wasn’t one available and didn’t apologize. Nobody greeted us, the food was average at best, and the service was horrible. A beautiful view and nice decor are all it has going for it. They offered prosecco by the glass without mentioning the high price. I even asked about the cost once, but they didn’t answer my question. At the restaurant on the 7th floor, the food was decent, but on two separate occasions our waiter disappeared for about 20 minutes after serving us. The rooms are poorly insulated too. When another guest slams a door, the whole room shakes. There were constant internet problems, so I couldn’t get important business work done. I had to contact the hotel twice to get them fixed. Room service came in even though we’d hung a sign asking them not to enter. After we requested cleaning, they left the door open. The air conditioning doesn’t run in winter, and the rooms get stuffy and unpleasant at night. Employees didn’t seem happy, and most looked young, poorly trained, and unmotivated. My tip: avoid hotels that have casinos. They attract less desirable crowds and seem less focused on genuine hospitality. This hotel fits that description. First and last time here.

The rooms weren’t cleaned properly, and the hygiene standards seemed questionable. Mrs. Vladislava, the female restaurant manager, came across as flirtatious and superficial, which made it seem like hospitality isn’t her line of work. A hotel at this level should have professional, competent staff, not amateurs.

The reception team, including the manager, deserves a huge thank you. They paid close attention to the details and went the extra mile to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Parking is secured, the rooms are great, and the service is top notch. One of the best Double Tree Hilton hotels I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world. I recommend it to anyone going to Minsk. The hotel is run really well, and I’ll definitely come back. The restaurant food is delicious and has its own signature style. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and the fitness centre is clean, well equipped enough, and open 24/7. Amazing place.
