"Gostinitsa" Hotel

For the amount you pay, this is a really good hotel.

I slept well on the comfortable orthopedic bed, and the room was spotless, including the bathroom. The soundproofing was great too, I couldn't hear anything through the wall. Staff were polite and attentive, and Botanical Garden metro station is nearby. My only complaint was the cold room. The radiators were warm, but it still felt chilly and there wasn't an extra blanket.

The staff are friendly and quick to respond on WhatsApp. There aren't many guests, so I barely heard or ran into anyone else. The building is set back from the street, which keeps out the big city noise, and there's a park nearby where you can have a beer and listen to birds in summer. The metro is a relaxed seven-minute walk, and Vasilki is across the street for dinner. For a swim, there's a sauna or an Olympic-size pool with a snack bar 300 meters away. It's a basic place for a specific purpose, such as getting a B&B bank card. Don't expect a kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, outdoor courtyard pool, or the setup for an open-ended remote-work stay in Turkish style. You can find fault with the lack of soap and a hairdryer too. In the room there's air conditioning, reliable internet, a TV that takes up the wall from floor to ceiling, a few dishes, and some furniture. There's a water cooler, ironing board, and shared fridge on the floor, and you can ask for a kettle to use yourself. Breakfast is available. The courtyard has secure parking for 50 cars, with a pass required, and it's rarely even a third full. If Belarusian rental sites have ripped you off, this place is a workable option. I checked it out, no mines.

We were there at the end of October 2022 and really enjoyed the stay. It was peaceful and cozy, and the room, though small, was clean. They tidied it daily and took out the rubbish. Reception were courteous and brought us cups, plus a hairdryer and kettle. Thanks so much! The Botanical Garden is close by and lovely for a quiet walk. We left very pleased 💕
