Getting there is a real ordeal. The only way in is about two kilometers of puddles, mud, sand, and rocks, not a proper road at all. In places the mud is so deep that you can only get through by tractor. There’s no decent visitor access.

The grounds are beautiful, and having the water park as an option is very convenient. When our cottage booking fell through, we took a hotel room so we could carry on with the vacation. The breakfasts were good, varied, tasty, and looked appetizing, no complaints there. We’d booked the cottage weeks ahead, and staff contacted me a few days before check-in and again the day before to assure me everything was ready. But at reception, they said the park hotel was under maintenance and couldn’t accommodate us for at least another week. The work had already been going on for several days. Why confirm the reservation and tell us it was ready when it wasn’t? The restaurant was another disappointment. It was listed as open until 11 PM, but when we arrived at 9:20, it was completely closed and wouldn’t open until morning. The nearest options were Drozdy Club and Astoria. In the end, we ordered delivery rather than go out. We’ve since booked a cabin at the park hotel again, hoping this time the information about readiness will be accurate and everything will work out. Then I’ll give a higher rating. That’s only fair.

The cabins are cozy, and the reservoir makes for a beautiful view. It’s a peaceful, picturesque place. I’d recommend it, especially to anyone who enjoys fishing.
