My daughter came to Minsk for a competition and needed a hostel for a few days. The reviews and photos had made it look wonderful, but it didn’t live up to that. The beds creaked so badly it was hard to sleep, and the dishes were supposedly clean, but they weren’t. We’d asked in advance whether there was a stove, pot, and frying pan and were told yes, so we weren’t worried. When we arrived there was no stove or pot, and the multicooker smelled awful. One of the rooms also had a terrible smell, and there was nowhere to put our belongings. Worst of all, the kids had to deal with the police because the hostel owner had immigration problems. Thank goodness they were with the manager. One star because of all this.

The rooms looked tidy, but the beds creaked loudly. While making the sheets, I lifted a mattress and found pills underneath. We first thought the hostel was clean, then found dirty dishes among the plates and mugs and had to wash everything ourselves. There was no hood, the stove didn’t work, and the multicooker gave off a bad smell while cooking. There had also been an unpleasant immigration-related situation, and the PIN-code door could be opened with a little effort.

The hostel is clean and reasonably priced, and the location is excellent. All the main sights are within walking distance. We rented bikes, and there’s a cycling route nearby that goes around the city center. The only drawback was the small refrigerator.

There were immigration service problems too. The chairs and tables were filthy, so everything had to be cleaned. The beds creaked terribly, and at times I thought the boards would crack and the whole bed would fall apart.

The chairs and tables were dirty, and we had to wash everything ourselves. On top of that, there were problems with the immigration service and they broke down the doors. Awful place. I really don’t recommend it.
