Lira Boutique Hotel

A decent hotel right in the center.

We were three and stayed just one night. They added a folding bed to our room, and it was comfortable, didn’t sag, and let us all sleep well. Breakfast is included and was filling; it’s served from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, but check the time with reception and they can prepare it when convenient for you. The location is handy, in the tourist center and only steps from the Zvezdochka Museum, and the price was affordable. The hotel is pretty and cozy, with tidy, new-looking decor and furniture. Staff were very friendly. Most rooms are laid out much the same, with a sleeping alcove and double bed with an orthopedic mattress, plus armchairs, a table, wardrobe, TV, and minibar fridge. The bathroom is combined and has a shower stall, sink, toilet, and hairdryer. There’s also one two-room suite. There are entrances from both the pedestrian street and the courtyard. Parking is available in the yard, though it’s shared rather than separate.

The only drawback for us was the Wi-Fi. It didn’t work in the rooms, only at reception. Otherwise, we had a very positive impression. The staff were polite and welcoming, and there’s free parking in the courtyard. The rooms were clean, recently renovated, and had new bedding. The large, firm bed was comfortable. Rooms are spacious, with ceilings about 4 meters high, and the hotel is on a pedestrian street in the city center.

The rooms are comfortable and cozy, the location is convenient, and the staff are friendly. Breakfast was disappointing, both the food and the taste. The bathroom could use attention too: the toilet is loose, and there’s nowhere to set shower gel or shampoo.
