Hotel Leman

The hotel itself was fine, but our sleep was wrecked by wedding music blaring until 2 a.m. We were traveling around Belarus and chose Le Mans after reading online reviews. The reception staff never mentioned the weddings, and that volume at night is impossible to put up with. Sleeping there felt like being at a disco 🥲🥲🥲🥲. Check before you book, or your rest could be ruined.

The new ground-floor bar is a welcome addition, and we had a great dinner there: ribs, tuna salad, garlic croutons, and beer. We stayed when the hotel first opened and loved it enough to come back. It feels even better now. Everyone clearly puts in a lot of effort, and I hope our tip showed how much we appreciated the staff. Thank you!

The fish with spinach was the only dish on the table I could eat. We celebrated our alumni reunion on February 3, 2024, and the rest of the food was tasteless and badly presented. The Caesar salad chicken was black and blue. Managers taking on a group this size should organize things instead of blaming a shortage of waiters and cooks. The staff's response to our air-conditioning request was disrespectful. We had it blasting and asked them to turn it down or off. They said, "You're annoying, keep turning it on and off." Polite communication with guests seemed to be missing. Also, when the air conditioning is on, the windows close. Even getting inside was a hassle. The drive-in is full of potholes and dirt, so girls in high heels won't arrive clean. The coat area was just as unpleasant: a narrow passage crowded with hanging jackets, where we had to squeeze through and add our coats as a fifth layer. My hair was staticky afterward, and I'm careful with my clothes, so leaving them there felt awful. Thankfully our group was cheerful, or the evening would've been ruined. I don't expect much from this kind of place, but a restaurant should at least cover the basics.

The food was delicious, the staff were really friendly, and everything was spotless. A wonderful hotel, I'd recommend it to anyone.
