Hostel na Oktyabryskoy

There were three bedbugs in the crib. Dust was everywhere, the walls were dirty and flimsy, and you could hear everything.

We booked in May 2024 for three family members to arrive in July during the Slavianski Bazaar. The manager confirmed on May 20 and said the bill for payment would come in early June. When I called then, the room had suddenly become twice as expensive, and the prices had disappeared from the website. Asked why, I was told, “It's high season anyway. If you don't like it, cancel and leave.” The manager was that rude. We lost time and had to return our festival tickets because everything was booked for those dates.

For a small fee, this was a nice place to rest after a long journey. Our room had a double bed, a single bed, shelves and a TV we didn't use. The shared area had a shower, two toilets, a kitchen, fridge, dishes, microwave and a pleasant courtyard. The mattress springs were easy to feel, though that wasn't an issue for everyone in our group.

I wouldn't recommend this hostel to anyone. The management is rude, and the rooms barely feel up to three-star hotel standard. The kitchen is small and poorly equipped. When someone drinks in the sauna, the noise carries into the room.
