I’d read a lot of reviews before booking and was honestly nervous. The rooms got cleaned, breakfast had a decent spread, and the location by the ocean is cool. It could use some renovation, and it isn’t a 5 star place, but for what it is and what’s available in Belize City, I thought it was solid value.

The place is dated, but it was clean and the staff were lovely. I’m pretty sure the “breakfast sausage” was hot dog wieners, so I passed. It left something to be desired, though I could see they were trying, and we appreciated it. We were only there between flights for the night, not for the casino, and some of the interior details did make us laugh. I’d stay again for sure.

I didn’t stay at the Ramada, but I met Mike there when I needed a pickup for a separately booked excursion, and he was fantastic. He knew the city well, suggested activities and excursions, helped me get good prices, and became my personal driver. He took me to excursions and was there when I finished. He was professional, always on time, and made me feel very comfortable traveling solo. He even pulled over so I could photograph a wild turtle crossing the road. As a Ramada staff member, he represented them really well, though I can’t speak to the hotel stay itself. I’d recommend Mike taxi service to anyone I know coming to beautiful Belize. Thank you, Mike. Your energy and aura are bright as the sun, and you were an absolute God send!

I packed up and left without staying. I honestly can’t believe I paid 300 US for that room. The mattresses, decor, and everything else were dreadful, worse than motels I’ve stayed in. How are places like this supposed to attract tourists, and how is it even allowed to be a hotel? At least use the money to buy cleaning products.

We loved the food at the restaurant, especially breakfast. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The people made our stay just as memorable. The manager was amazing, and the whole staff were friendly, professional, and attentive. Sylvin, our waiter, gave us a warm welcome and made dinner feel personal. After our day trip to Guatemala, I mentioned that my feet hurt and that I planned to relax upstairs. We ordered food to the room, and Sylvin surprised me with a lovely foot bin filled with warm water and flowers so my husband could massage my feet. I was speechless. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and it meant a lot. My husband and I felt welcome from the moment we arrived at the Ramada Belize City Princess Hotel. The atmosphere, views, and energy set a lovely tone for our stay. We’re grateful to the manager, the staff, and especially Sylvin for making our time in Belize so special. We won’t forget it.
