The staff made a strong impression with friendly, attentive service and a real willingness to help. From the moment I arrived at El Rey, I liked the warm atmosphere and elegant design, and the staff were professional throughout. My experience was extraordinary.

I really liked the food and the customer service. Thank you, Emily, for all your attention ❤️❤️

A boutique motel in a quiet neighborhood, with clean rooms that have AC, fans, and 5g wifi. The TVs have great channels in both English and Spanish. A grocery store, restaurants, medical services, salons, and the U.S., British and Mexican Embassies are all a block away on foot.

The comfortable beds and hot and cold water were the only good parts of my stay. For the price, the room wasn’t worth it. The bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, and both the ceiling fan and AC only worked on one setting. The TV stayed on a single channel, and all the furniture was scratched and ugly. The walls were so thin that I could hear what the other guests around me were doing. I was very unhappy with the stay and what I paid.

We chose the cheapest room category, so keep that in mind. The hotel is a little shabby, the floor isn’t level, and the shower kept dripping. The beds were okay. The room did have a small TV, AC, and a great window that let in lots of light, though the glass wasn’t clear and the mosquito net was torn. Breakfast was good, but allow some time for it. What made the stay worthwhile was the staff. They were so kind and helpful with whatever we needed, and when they had time, they told us a lot about this very interesting country. Thank you so much. From what I could see, the more expensive rooms are nicer, so if you’re a bit particular, you might want to consider one of those.
