It's a lovely, comfortable spot, quiet and tucked away from the touristy bars and hangouts. The owner and staff were very nice and helpful. Our shower had no hot water when we arrived, but they fixed it quickly. The room has fans only, so you'll need to adjust if you depend on AC. The food at the French bakery/restaurant on the property wasn't anything to write home about, but you come for the room.

We spent five blissful nights sleeping on the island, and my partner and I loved it. The garden and the French bakery make it feel like a tucked-away cocoon. Waking up to good coffee and fresh croissants was a lovely bonus. By night, the iguanas start talking and add to the atmosphere. Sleeping beneath the sacred Ceiba tree of the Maya, the only one on the island, made it a special place to travel.
