That lime juice is heavenly 🧃🍋‍🟩! We liked the place enough to come back for dinner, after paying $20 Belize 🇧🇿 for a whole grilled fish with chips 🍟 and sauces. The owner, who also works there, was so lovely. She showed us all the Belize money and explained who was pictured on the notes ❤️. She even gave my friend extra rice and veggies for free!

The beach view and sandy floors were lovely 🤌🏼💋, and the painkiller had amazing flavor, even though it didn’t have much alcohol. The fish sandwich with grilled snapper was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I’d go back tomorrow just to order it again. We also had good vegetarian nachos. The food, service, and atmosphere were all wonderful, despite the humble front. For a cheap meal, order from the placard outside instead of the menu. HIGHLY recommend this place.

My chicken stew arrived hot, with coleslaw, rice and beans, fried plantain, and a Diet Coke. The whole bill was 17 BZD (£6.20), which felt like good value next to some other places. The food didn’t take over an hour to arrive, as it has at some spots here. Our group of 10 wasn’t charged extra tax or a group fee. Personally, I don’t understand the low reviews.

The woman running the restaurant is friendly and polite, always smiling, and the prices are reasonable enough that eating here won’t break the bank. We came three times during our week on Caye caulker, and the food and service were delicious and great each visit. Give it a try if you’re on the island!
