The location was good and the room was decent, but arriving was a hassle. We’d paid in full through Airbnb, yet at 9 pm the host said we had to hand over another $20 cash as a key deposit before checking in. That wasn’t mentioned in the listing, so we hadn’t brought cash. After a while, and after contacting Airbnb, they gave us the key without the deposit. It added another 20-30 minutes before we could settle in after a long travel day. Airbnb contacted me the next morning to apologize for the host breaking its policies. The manager also got in touch, apologized, and said they’d made some adjustments. I’d consider giving the place another try in the future.

The rooftop view was lovely, and they put out coffee and bananas in the morning. It’s a family-run hotel, and everyone I spoke to was so sweet. They also arranged transportation for me at a fair price. I enjoyed my stay.

There are plenty of places to eat within a short walk, and the hotel is conveniently placed a couple of blocks from the main street one way and the shore the other. The room was spacious and comfortable, with both a fan and air conditioning. Staff were friendly and helped us sort out transport and a late checkout. Coffee and bananas were available in the lobby. The bathroom could use a refresh, and there’s no laundry.

The staff were very friendly, and we really enjoyed our stay. We only needed one night before taking the boat to Tobacco Caye the next morning, and the boat stop is just a five-minute walk away. The public bus terminal is easy to reach too. Our flight from Guatemala to Belize was changed four times, leaving us unable to get public transport to Dangriga. The hotel stayed in touch and arranged a private shuttle from Belize City straight to the hotel for a fair price. They serve water all the time, plus coffee and bananas in the morning. Really lovely!
