We booked at the last minute and were really happy with the room. For $80 USD a night, it’s a modest hotel at a modest price, with a fridge, fantastic air conditioning, and super soft beds. It’s a solid three-star place right in the center, a five-minute walk from Guava Limb, the San Ignacio Market, and lots of restaurants.

The room and service were great, and it was cheap, but I’d rather pay even less for a hostel given the downsides. Being in the middle of town meant a lot of nighttime noise. The wifi in the room wasn’t very good, the water pressure was low, and it took five minutes for the water to heat up.

There was so much character in this place that I couldn’t resist taking lots of photos. It’s on a popular street and is just what it says it is, a budget friendly hotel. If you’re after something frilly, this isn’t the place for you.

We were very happy with our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, with excellent wifi, complimentary drinking water, good a/c, and a hot shower. The hotel is on a pedestrian only street in the town centre. Free parking is behind the hotel, then it’s a short walk up a small hill to the entrance and a flight of stairs to the second-floor reception.

Right in the town centre, this is a great budget option with bars, restaurants, and everything else nearby. Our room was simple but comfortable, with a big bed, good shower, and excellent air conditioning. The staff were awesome. After my ATM Cave tour, the receptionist found a warm storage room to dry my shoes so I could wear them the next day. Being able to use the pool at their partner hotel, the Midas, was a nice extra.
