Caye Casa

The staff were thoughtful and gave us useful local food recommendations, while also helping with whatever we needed. Jake (GM) was especially kind. I left some documents in my room, and he sent them to the airport before I left the country. The room was cute and nicely decorated, and the pool out front has a lovely sunrise view over the ocean. One of the best places to stay in San Pedro, and I highly recommend it.

Everything was immaculate, from the rooms and facilities to the property itself. The staff's care and local knowledge really stood out, and the laundry and cleaning teams were great too. We were welcomed with a drink and a rundown of the property and neighborhood. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance, and they can arrange a taxi or golf cart without any hassle. I'd stay again without hesitation.

The pier is lovely, and despite the nightlife nearby our room was quiet. The place is central, cozy, tropical, tastefully furnished, and well looked after, with great balconies just like the photos. Shane, Marta, Mario, and owner Jake were all so helpful with rentals, bookings, and recommendations. Every place they suggested was great. They also worked hard to keep the shore in front of the property clear of sargassum, which was a nuisance during Easter week. It's a natural problem they can't control. Definitely recommend!

We spent a week exploring the island and found Caye Casa to be ideally placed, close enough to town and the waterfront restaurants that we barely needed our golf cart. Nothing was more than a ten-minute walk. Before we arrived, communication was excellent, with plenty of practical details and suggestions to make getting there and around easy. We stayed in #3 Caribbean Dreams, a first-floor two-bedroom, two-bath unit with a full kitchen. It was clean, comfortable, and had the conveniences of home. We made a habit of sitting on the porch with coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. You could hear music from Wayo’s next door outside, but indoors it was perfectly quiet. Jake, the GM, and Shane, the Operations Manager, were often around to check in, offer advice, or chat about island life. The other guests were friendly too, and it felt like a little community sharing stories. It's an easygoing, welcoming place that felt like a temporary home. Caye Casa was the highlight of our San Pedro stay, comfortable, convenient, and full of island charm. (P.S. I'm not sure why Google lists it as a 2-star hotel. It should be a 3 or 4, and it's listed as a 3 on both Booking and TripAdvisor.)
