Lucky Duck Villa - Huge Beachfront Pool and Pier

Chef Julia cooked for us on three days, and that turned out to be a brilliant choice. The food was fabulous, and being able to eat right at the Villa made things so easy. Lupita and Carlos took care of everything we needed, and even arranged a special birthday surprise for one of our guests. We had a large group at Lucky Duck Villas in November 2024, and the property was gorgeous and meticulously maintained. We spent our time swimming, snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, enjoying the pool and hammocks, and taking golf carts to local restaurants. We’re already making plans to return to Lucky Duck and Maya Beach. The area felt like a dream.

Our teenage grandchildren were just as happy hanging around Lucky Duck Villa as they were going on the excursions. They loved the kayaks, paddle boards, and dock. Erica helped arrange our outings and even found flights to Placencia when part of the family missed their flight from the US. We spent Christmas 2023 there as a family of nine, and Lupita, Carlos, and Julia answered our questions and took care of us throughout. It was a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend Gecko Vacations for a trip you’ll remember. We can’t wait to return.

We spent a relaxing week at The Lucky Duck, with a couple of excursions to see Belize. Everything we needed was already there, and Lupita and Carlos made us feel so welcome.

Our stay at Lucky Duck Villa was cut short by two days because of airline trouble, but once we arrived, the stress fell away. Lupitea and Carlos welcomed us, and Kenneth had prepared an amazing meal. We had a great time together as a family while still having plenty of space and activities. Lupitea was lovely to talk with during the week about Belize, Placencia, and the cultures that shape Belize. Keneth’s meals were so good that my family wanted him to come live with us.
