The porch was a favorite, and the location worked perfectly for diving at west pundt. Gowest divers is barely a two-minute walk away, mostly on flat ground. Abraham and his son were great to rent from, too, and easy to communicate with. They replaced the living room A/C in our apartment and others while we were there, and the stove seemed fairly new. Still, because we booked a higher-priced room listed as deluxe, I expected more. It was a one-bedroom deluxe, but the apartment needs updating to feel deluxe. The sofa was worn in both appearance and comfort, the sheets were visibly pilled, and both skillets were so scratched they weren't useful for eggs. A damaged Teflon surface like that doesn't seem healthy to cook on. The sole pitcher was cracked, too. A little oil, salt, and pepper for the kitchenette would help. The price seemed reasonable, though the place also felt like a budget room. It wasn't a bargain that made me think, “Wow, what value,” more like, “I didn't pay twice as much elsewhere, so I guess I'll live with it.” Nothing was inherently wrong for the price or for what we needed, but for this location and kind of vacation, it needs a little more to rate four or five stars. A bit of updating could make it incredible.

The location is hard to beat at that end of the island, just a few steps from one of the nicest beaches. There's also a nice beach club on the hillside of kilki beach, and when the beach got crowded, we could retreat to the small, breezy pool area at the apartment. Hendricks, the owner, was great and especially accommodating about my medical issues. The apartment was roomy and had what we needed, though it could use a little updating. Thanks for a great stay, and take that cruise with your wife...

The bed was very firm, and I woke up uncomfortable every morning. That kept me from giving this five stars, even though the accommodation is only a minute's walk from the beach. We chose this place for a few nights while exploring the island's western edge, and I'm really glad we did. Our unit had lovely ocean and mountain views, with a breezy balcony off the spacious bedroom. Inside, there was a well-equipped kitchen and a cozy living and dining area. The furnishings were beautiful, the staff were incredibly welcoming, and the whole atmosphere felt quiet and soothing. I also enjoyed the charming pool area. There was construction that hadn't been finished yet, and litter made parts of the area look unattractive. Even with those issues, I was delighted with our choice in Sabana Westpunt.

The balcony and grounds were lovely. We had a huge balcony with views of flowering plants, the sea, and sunsets. A gate let us reach it without going through the room, which was handy with wet things, and there was a rack to dry them. The landscaping across the property was pretty. I didn't use the pool since I prefer the sea, but it looked clean and attractive, if a little smaller than I expected. Nos Krusero is close to diving, beaches, and restaurants. Playa Kalki is lovely, busy during the day and empty after 5pm. It's a very quiet area: don't stay in Westpunt for nightlife, since everything shuts around 5pm. Willemstad is a 45-minute drive, a regular grocery store is 20-25 minutes away, and the gas station is 15 minutes away. Several nearby restaurants are good and reservations are best. On weekdays, Cactus Cafe, our favorite, and Blue View seemed to be the only places open after 6:30pm, so you may need to cook. Plan for the grocery run. The kitchen was decently stocked, though the gas stove needs a match to light. The plates didn't fit in the microwave, and I don't think they were microwave safe anyway. We saw tiny bugs crawling on the counter and table. We stayed on the third floor in a deluxe ocean view apartment. The high ceilings with beams and panels were pretty, and the TV had some streaming services, though it sat high on a shelf and might be better lower. The first night was rough because we arrived late to find the A/C off, and it was too hot to sleep. The later nights were okay if we kept the bedroom cool. Using the living room A/C costs extra. It was ALWAYS VERY windy. Inside, the wind sounded like a hurricane and made the door rattle loudly. NK can't control the wind, but weatherstripping would help. We stopped the rattling by wedging in a rolled-up plastic bag. There was no inside doorknob, just a bent wire hook and deadbolt. The combination lockbox outside was useful for leaving the key there and not worrying about losing it in the sea. The sofa was small, hard, and uncomfortable. Even with all the bed pillows on it, it wasn't much better, and its sections made it hard to lie down. It's apparently advertised as another bed, but I can only imagine a small child sleeping on it. We also could've used more towels. We got four that we could swap for fresh ones, plus a floor mat, but no washcloths or hand towels. Some practical bathroom details bothered us. There was sometimes a bad plumbing smell. Black stains around the shower's bottom corners made it look dirty, and the light shower curtain was difficult to keep inside the shower, so water got onto the floor. The shower itself was very spacious. Shelves for soap and more hooks or hanging bars would have helped. The sheets made the first half of the stay uncomfortable. They were loud and rustly, felt plasticky, and the plastic mattress cover made sleeping hot. Taking the cover off before night two helped a bit. Halfway through, the room was cleaned very well and the sheets were changed. The new ones were much softer and quieter, and I wish we'd had them the whole time. The bed's firmness suited me, but it was too firm for my boyfriend. We had some good things and some frustrating ones, so the very positive reviews of Nos Krusero (NK) had set expectations too high. With a better door seal, a more comfortable sofa, extra towels and washcloths, and the softer sheets from the start, the stay would've been better. Now that I know what to expect and how to prepare, I might stay again for a quiet, low-key small-town vacation.

Nos Krusero Apartments was a peaceful, safe place to stay, with lots of welcoming locals around. Tariq, his father, and all the staff were kind and friendly. My room had everything I needed to be comfortable, and I could see the ocean from my balcony. I enjoyed my stay a lot, would recommend booking here, and hope to visit again.
