The Mason Suite was beautiful, spacious, and VERY clean, though the mattress felt much too soft and gave very little support. Breakfast was decent, but we expected more. There was no milk or cream for coffee, and the attendant said the fridge had broken and another coworker couldn't bring any until breakfast was over. I would have thought a place like this could get a simple carton of each for guests. Check-in was a good start, with a really friendly, helpful front desk, and parking was easy. The shared rooftop patio was a letdown, covered with bird droppings and overrun by bees and wasps. It wasn't nearly as nice as advertised.

Free parking on site was handy over the holiday, and the staff were warm and flexible throughout. They even let us use the dining room in the evening for our Christmas dinner, which made the stay feel extra special. We spent Christmas Day 2025 at The Barracks Inn in Ancaster. The restored historic building has lots of character, with exposed brick and heritage details. Our spacious second-floor suite had a king bed, sitting area, kitchenette, and private balcony, mixing modern comfort with the old building's charm. We slept very well, and the large bathroom had elegant fixtures and a lovely rainfall shower. Breakfast the next morning was relaxed and tasty, with croissants, eggs, sausages, oatmeal, and other buffet choices in a bright dining room. We'd happily come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Ancaster or after a charming boutique hotel stay.

The attentive front desk staff were thoughtful with their suggestions and helped us arrange an early breakfast before our flight. Upstairs, we also enjoyed the lounge, with its fireplace, outdoor patio, library books, and soft jazz. Our king room had gorgeous furniture, very tall triple windows, and plenty of space. Elegant details throughout made the hotel a pleasure to stay in. It's one of the nicest hotels we've ever visited, and we're looking forward to coming back.

They were easy to communicate with and arranged an early check-in for my wife's 60th birthday. The room was extremely clean and well appointed, and the stone Inn itself is beautiful. Our whole stay at this little gem was fantastic, and we'll definitely stay here again.

The property was perfect for photos, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We stayed for our Hamilton wedding, and choosing this place was the right call, even though it's a bit farther from downtown Hamilton than some other hotel options. The rooms, especially The Royal Suite, were stunning, comfortable, and clean. Organizing room blocks was easy too. We're looking forward to visiting again.
