The bed was so comfortable I slept amazingly, like I was on a cloud. I also loved having a private bathroom with a good hot shower in the morning, and the coffee bar by the fireplace made for a nice evening. The cozy feel and decor helped me feel right at home, and the staff were amazing. I’d recommend this motel to anyone looking for a home away from home.

Arcola has a lot to enjoy, from its challenging 18 hole disc golf course to the library, pharmacy, grocery store, bar, antiques shop, and CO-OP gas bar. The motel room I stayed in was clean and welcoming, and with the new management, my experience was great. I know the place had a bad reputation in the past, but that’s history now. Cathy’s dedication to this gem is clear, and I think the future can only get better. Arcola itself is a lively, fun, welcoming community.

The fee was very reasonable, and the room was extremely clean. I’ve had some upsetting experiences with hotels before, so I was especially impressed by how clean it was. The owner was lovely and accommodated me even though I called late. I’ll definitely stay again if I need a place along my travels. Thank you.

There was plenty of parking for big rigs and trailers, and the location was quiet. The rooms were very clean, and the owner was kind and accommodating when we arrived late with our cat. We’d stay here again.

We found a bed bug crawling on me, so I left at 2:30am. There were no other hotels available, and we had to bag everything, drive two hours home, strip naked in our backyard, and bag those clothes too. In the morning, I ran the car with the heat on high in the sun to try to kill any bugs and keep them from spreading in our home. The manager was extremely nice until I asked for my money back, then refused to refund me and even threatened to sue over this review. We’re traumatized and still feel like a bug could show up any day.
