The location is great, but the service was appalling. Our room smelled musty, the couch had literally caved in, and the private bathroom was awful. We checked in Thursday afternoon in September and found the toilet blocked Friday morning. It wouldn’t flush properly, and there was no plunger, so we reported it and someone brought one up. It was awkward. The same problem came back Friday evening, Saturday morning, and Saturday evening. A staff member said it was fixed, but it wasn’t. I was awake all night, afraid to pee, and it was the wrong time of the month for me. On Sunday morning the same guy brought the plunger again and said he would have had a plumber check it, but because it was Sunday he couldn’t do anything. Surely he could have called a plumber Friday or Saturday, or at least left us the plunger so we could flush the mess. It felt like they were trying to avoid any extra cost. My husband asked for compensation for all the trouble, but there’s still been no resolution. Awful hotel. Stay away.

We had a good one-night stay overall. The room was basic, clean, comfortable, and had what we needed. Nothing fancy, but we were out most of the day and it was fine to come back and rest. We heard street construction overnight, though after all the walking we’d done, we fell asleep and it didn’t really bother us. The staff were helpful, and they let us check in early. Parking at the back was handy with our rental car. The location was great, close to downtown, bus stops, and lots of places to eat. My partner and I mostly walked around and enjoyed exploring. The main headache came when we drove and tried to return later. Both one-way streets around the hotel were closed for construction and traffic was insane, making it almost impossible to get through. The back lanes saved us from being stuck, and other drivers were taking the same detour. I thought Winnipeg construction was bad, but Montreal was next level that day, with so many closed roads. Still, a great spot for a short visit, with a helpful staff and everything we needed.

We spent two nights and everything was good. The rooms were awesome for the price, and the location was good too. Staff were so nice. The only issue was that the centralized air conditioning was switched on in the afternoon for 3-4 hours. Otherwise, everything was perfect. Highly recommend.

The room itself was fine, but the shared bathroom setup needs attention. It’s small and always wet, and the fan is LOUD. Disgusting shared washroom.

We went into the room and left within an hour to book somewhere else. The rooms were disgusting and horrible, and the washrooms were a joke: there was a wash basin in the room, and you couldn’t stand in the bathroom to shower. The area felt shady and sketchy, and parking was risky, in a tent where homeless people were sitting. When we asked to cancel and get a refund, they refused. They wouldn’t even change the stay to one night and refund the rest. Worst hotel I’ve ever seen in my life. Don’t fall for it, avoid it at all costs. The good reviews must be paid or fake, so don’t trust them.
